Create discount coupons

Create percentage or fixed-amount discount codes with a minimum purchase and expiry date, and pause the ones you don't need.

A coupon is a code customers enter while completing their order to get a discount. It can be a percentage or a fixed amount, with an optional minimum purchase and expiry date. Only Owners and Administrators can see Coupons.

Create a coupon

Where to find it
  1. Coupons
  1. Start a new coupon

Tap New coupon, or Create coupon if it's your first one.

  2. Enter the code

In Coupon code, use 2 to 30 characters: letters, numbers, hyphens or underscores, no spaces. It's saved in capitals, for example WELCOME10.

  3. Choose the discount type

Percentage, up to 100%, or Fixed amount in pesos. Enter the value in Discount (%) or Discount (COP).

  4. Set the conditions

Leave Minimum purchase (COP) at 0 for no minimum. With Expires on (optional), the coupon works until 11:59 p.m. that day, Colombia time.

  5. Turn it on and save

Keep Active coupon on and save your changes.

Discount rules

  • The discount and the minimum purchase are based on the value of the items, before delivery. A coupon never discounts delivery.
  • A fixed discount is never more than the value of the items.
  • One coupon per order.
  • Each code is unique within your restaurant.
  • Coupons don't work on your venue's tablets.

Edit or pause your coupons

Each coupon shows its status (Active, Paused or Expired), the discount, the code, the minimum purchase and the end date. Tap the pencil to edit it. To stop offering it, turn off Active coupon: coupons aren't deleted, so you can turn it back on whenever you like.

How customers use it

While completing their order, the customer opens Have a coupon?, enters the code in Discount code and taps Apply; capitals don't matter. If the coupon doesn't exist, has expired, is paused or the order doesn't reach the minimum purchase, they'll see why next to the field. The discount shows in the total and in the WhatsApp message they send you.

What coupons don't include

  • Usage limits, overall or per customer.
  • Coupons for specific products or categories only.
  • Start dates, free delivery or several coupons on one order.
  • A usage counter: the code appears in the details of each order that used it.
