Set your hours or pause orders
Set the days and times you take orders, and pause your menu whenever you need to.
Your menu only takes orders while you're within your opening hours and haven't paused orders. Here's how to set your weekly hours and how to pause, for example during a rush. Only Owners and Administrators can change them.
Set your hours
- My restaurant
- Hours
- Turn on the days you open
Each day has a switch. When it's off, that day shows as Closed.
- Enter opening and closing times
One time range per day. If you close after midnight, set a closing time earlier than the opening time, for example 18:00 to 02:00, and the hours carry over into the next day.
- Save
Tap Save changes. Your menu updates right away.
The tab shows your restaurant's time zone, and all times are read in that zone.
Pause orders
- My restaurant
- Orders and deliveries
Turn off Accept orders and tap Save changes. While it's off nobody can order or schedule, including from your venue's tablets, and the side menu shows Orders paused. The pause doesn't lift by itself: turn Accept orders back on when you're ready.
What your customers see
- With orders paused, your menu says Orders paused and Please visit us again soon.
- Outside your hours, if you accept scheduled orders, it says Closed now and You can schedule your order. Customers then pick an available date and time.
- Outside your hours without scheduled orders, customers who try to order see We are currently closed. We look forward to seeing you when we reopen.
- Your full opening hours are always visible in your restaurant's information on the menu.
Platform pause
If the Zimtig team pauses your orders, you'll see Paused by the platform and a notice at the top of the dashboard. Customers see the same as when you pause. You can keep editing your menu and handling existing orders; to resume, contact Zimtig.
Category hours
You can also offer a category only at certain times, like breakfast. The pause comes first, then your opening hours, then each category's hours: a category never opens while the restaurant is closed. Outside its hours, its dishes show when they'll be available. See category hours.
Frequently asked questions
Can I have two shifts in one day, like lunch and dinner?
The restaurant has one time range per day. Open from the first opening to the last closing, and use category hours for what you only serve during one shift.
Can I pause for just an hour?
The pause has no timer. Turn off Accept orders and turn it back on when you're ready.
Are there special hours for holidays?
There's no holiday calendar. On the day, pause orders or adjust your hours, then change them back afterwards.
