How Zimtig support accesses your dashboard
What Zimtig support can do when helping you from your dashboard, and where to see every access.
When you ask us for help, we sometimes need to see your dashboard. We never sign in as you: we open a support session under the name of the Zimtig person helping you, with a written reason and a time limit, and it's recorded so you can see it.
How a support session works
- It has a reason: whoever opens it writes down why.
- It lasts 60 minutes at most. Then it closes by itself.
- It's read-only or can make changes. In Read only we just look. Can make changes lets us adjust things, for example your menu or My restaurant, just as you would.
- It's in the name of whoever opens it. If they record a stamp, a redemption or a correction, it shows their name followed by (Soporte Zimtig).
What support never does
- Invite, change the role of, or remove anyone on your team.
- Apply changes proposed by the assistant.
- Pair new tablets for Tablet Mode.
- Sign in with your account or ask for your password.
Support sessions only happen in the web dashboard, never in the staff app.
Where to see every access
- My restaurant
- Zimtig support access
At the bottom of My restaurant you'll find the last 20 sessions: who came in, when, in which mode and why. Each one shows its status: Active, Ended or Expired. If we've never accessed it, you'll see Zimtig hasn't accessed your dashboard.
Only Owners and Administrators can see this list.
Frequently asked questions
Do you need my password to help me?
No. We'll never ask for it: we sign in with our own account.
Can I end a support session?
There's no option for that in the dashboard today. Every session closes by itself within 60 minutes; if anything worries you, get in touch.
What's the difference between Ended and Expired?
Ended means the session was closed before its limit. Expired means it reached its time limit and closed by itself.
